Policies
Deposits & Cancellations A NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of one night’s stay is required at booking. The deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances. Seven (7) days prior to check-in, you are liable for the cost of the entire stay, regardless if your plans change, you leave early, or you decide not to visit. We will allow you to rebook your stay for a $65 fee if requested 7 days prior to your arrival date. You must accept the new rates. Your deposit will be applied to the new stay. This policy is applied regardless of circumstances.
Discounts & Promotions All reservations made with a discount or promotional rate are due in full at booking and NON-REFUNDABLE in their entirety. Reservation dates cannot be changed.
Room Rates Nightly lodging rates in all our rooms, cottages and cabins, are based on two person occupancy. Per the fire code, only select rooms permit more than two guests. We do not provide or permit cots, sleeping bags, cribs, or more guests than the fire department has permitted per room.
Occupancy Lodging rates are based on two person occupancy. Occupancy is strictly defined by the fire code. We reserve the right to ask you to leave and hold you responsible for your stay if you arrive with or attempt to hide additional guests in your room. Additional charges and fines may incur if you do not respect the occupancy limits.
Children Children under 12 are allowed in the cabins, but not allowed in the Farmhouse. Please call so we can help you find the best options for your family. If children arrive without disclosure or there is intentional misinformation regarding a child’s age, we reserve the right to ask you to leave and/or add additional fees to your stay.
Pets Pets are NOT allowed in the Farmhouse or Historic Cabins. They ARE only allowed in Mary Mast’s Cottage for an additional fee. Please call us if you have a service animal. We reserve the right to ask you to leave and charge you additional fees if pets are found in the Farmhouse or Historic Cabins.
Minimum Stay We have a two-night minimum stay requirement for lodging on Friday or Saturday nights. Some holiday weekends require a three-night minimum stay.
Check-in & Check-out Check-in is after 3:00 PM. Check-out is between 8:00 am to 11:00 am. Late check-out is available for $100, if available.
Accessibility The Blacksmith Cabin, Granary, Woodwork Shop are the only rooms with level entry beds. The rest of our bedrooms are accessed by stairway.
Smoking is not allowed on the property.
Damage We understand normal wear and tear occurs via hosting guests at our property. However, we reserve the right to hold guests financially responsible for negligent damage. Unreported feces or vomit left on linens will incur an automatic $100 fee. Please report any damage promptly.
Mary Mast Cottage Mary Mast Cottage located at 2564 Broadstone Road Banner Elk NC 28604 is operated by Mast Farm Inn, LLC but owned by Mast Farm Village, LLC. Mary Mast is governed by the NC Vacation Rental Act Chapter 42A while the all other rooms and restaurants at Mast Farm Inn are subject to regulation under Chapter 72.
