Dear Valued Client & Guest,

IMPORTANT MESSAGE: If you are a regular or first time client we need to update you on new options at The Inn being implemented as of January 1st, 2017.

With the new year comes what we believe are several exciting new options and programs for 2017 and beyond. Among other things: In 2017 we are embarking on a significant development program, and some non-disruptive construction to include new spaces, do a redesign of several common indoor and outdoor areas, add new indoor-outdoor special event spaces, undertake major renovation and redecoration of our two biggest cabins Raspberry Hill and The Granary, as well as several of the other rooms, cottage and cabins. We recently added 6 acres adjacent to the estate that we will be building up as well. These upgrades will be phased in throughout 2017, and some in 2018.

The construction will be out of sight and out of mind, and this aspect will not change or disrupt your stay in any way. While you are unlikely to see any of it while it is being done, it does however create logistical problems for the restaurant.

Of immediate interest: The Mast Farm Inn and its owners have a close working and personal relationship with the restaurant Over Yonder and its owners. We co-founded Over Yonder in 2014 with our then chef of many years Executive Chef Andrew Long. We sold Andrew our shares when Over Yonder became a relatively phenomenal instant success. As such Over Yonder is a bit our adult child, and our most favored nation in numerous ways. It is located a few hundred yards from the Inn, and capable of comfortably receiving five times the number of guests in greater comfort than we could handle in our in-house restaurant Simplicity at The Mast Farm Inn.

Over Yonder is open the following days and times:
December – March (Open 5 Days a Week)
11:00AM to 8:00PM • Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
11:00AM to 3:00PM • Sunday

April – November (Open 6 Days a Week)
11:00AM to 8:00PM • Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
11:00AM to 8:00PM • Sunday

As such our in-house restaurant Simplicity at The Mast Farm Inn becomes more and more redundant. And while we will continue the restaurant exclusively for Inn guests for breakfast as previously, and by reservation for special events and special event catering, we will no longer be serving regular restaurant dinner service as of January 1st, 2017, as we seek to broaden the range of options available for dining between here and Over Yonder, and undertake some of the projects described above.

In addition, each afternoon we will now be serving a significant “snack-time” free of charge during our daily social get-together, and providing new options for ordering from our collection of dinner baskets for guests who want to stay in. These are designed so you can eat in our dining rooms, to take them to your room, cottage or cabin, or if the weather is right for a night time picnic on or off the estate.

As we roll out these new programs, we wanted to take this time to let you know of these changes.

A week before your arrival we will send you an email asking about your preferred dining options and needs during your stay, and we will be more than happy to recommend and book other local restaurants in the area for you. We will also email you the current room-service and dinner basket options. These will be posted online to view and order at any time. Ordering a week in advance is recommended, but we will do our best to accommodate last minute requests.

Depending on when you reserved and what you expect in terms of dining, notably if you made a reservation before we launched this program, we understand perfectly these changes might not suit you so we offer you two options:

1) Keep your reservation, and we will send you another pre-arrival email when the time comes to see what dining options you would like.

2) If these new dining options do not suit you, you can cancel your reservation, and we will issue you a full refund without cancelation charge of any kind.

Having worked on these plans in detail quite a while with architects, engineers, and landscapers, and our restaurant and catering staff, we think these changes will enhance the guest experience significantly in numerous ways.

Please don’t hesitate to call or email with any questions you might have.

Wishing you a wonderful day, and with our best regards,

Danielle Deschamps
